An Introduction of BNBAS and Its Clinical Application
½Å¿µÈñ
Abstract
The Brazelton Neonatal Behavioral Assessment Scale(BABAS) provides a means for systematic observation of newborns. In addition, the BNBAS can be used as a means of helping parents read the cues of their infants and altering environmental conditions to benefit infants. The BNBAS also can be used to enhance parent-infant bonding, to promote parents¢¥ confidence, and to intervene in potentially dysfunctional parent-infant interactions before poor parenting patterns become well established. The BNBAS is described, as are clinical uses of the instrument in clinical nursing practice. Preparation for using the BNBAS is also discussed.
